The Loughrea Community guards, Garda Michelle and Sergeant Leo, visited Tynagh NS yesterday. They facilitated a great discussion in the Senior classroom about online safety and life as a Garda. They also visited the Junior classroom for lots more questions on life as a Garda. The children learned that while the job of a Garda can be difficult at times, it is also very rewarding and varied. The pupils had great fun trying on the Garda hi-viz vets, jackets and hats. The best part of the day was when Mrs. Clarke was arrested by the pupils, not once, but twice! A fantastic day was had by all. A huge thank you to Michelle and Leo for being so generous with their time and ensuring everyone was included.
